Course Description: This early intermediate group focuses on native, or near native, German speakers at the 3 grade level. Students entering this class are able to understand spoken German and  express themselves by using simple vocabulary. The class is taught in German exclusively.
The workbook and reading materials are used in the third grade in Germany   Besides expanding their vocabulary in spoken German, students will also learn to express themselves in writing. They start each class session by writing a few sentences in their journal. The goal is to write a paragraph of 50-100 words by the end of the school year. The class focuses on basic grammar and spelling rules.

In addition, students will read two books at grade level  to supplement weekly reading activities.
