We are a German Saturday School of the East Bay, teaching German at all levels to interested individuals of all ages.
We are located on the grounds of the Excelsior German Center at the Altenheim (1699 Excelsior Blvd., Oakland) and are easily accessible from all areas of the East Bay. <Driving Directions>.
The German School of the East Bay is a nonprofit organization, serving the East Bay since 1962. We offer high quality classes with a low tuition.
Open to everyone who wants to learn the German language and learn about the German culture.

German School of the East Bay Summer School -
June 21st - July 9th
German language immersion - Three weeks of Swiss, Austrian, and German
culture!
Ages: 4 - 14.
Hours: 9am to 1pm. Extended care option: 8am to 5pm
Spring semester starts Saturday, January 9
Morning session - 9:30 to noon
Afternoon session - 1pm to 3:30pm
Afternoon classes: adult beginning, adult advanced, AP prep. class,
Profi class, children beginner class (age 8 to 12), a second
Kindergarten class and a third toddler group (Sing- und Spielgruppe).
All other classes are held in the morning.
ATTENTION the following classes have few
openings:

- Advanced Adult class
- Kultur- und Literaturclub
- 1st and 2nd grade native speakers class
