We are a German Saturday School of the East Bay, teaching German at all levels to interested individuals of all ages.
Classes are held from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm from September through May. The fall 2008 classes are scheduled to begin on September 13th, 2008. We are located on the grounds of the Excelsior German Center at the Altenheim (1699 Excelsior Blvd., Oakland) and are easily accessible from all areas of the East Bay. <Driving Directions>.
The German School of the East Bay is a nonprofit organization, serving the East Bay since 1962. We offer high quality classes with a low tuition.
Open to everyone who wants to learn the German language and learn about the German culture.

New class
We will start a new beginning German class this fall (begins Sept. 13) for children age 8 to 12 years. Classes will be from 1:00pm to 3:30pm with 15 minutes recess at 2:15pm. Interested families should contact us (need link here) right away if they would like to reserve a space in the tryout class. We will take at most 10 students and have a few spaces left.
