We strive to create a warm, supportive atmosphere for learning where teachers are responsive to each child as an individual. We want children to feel special and important as they work, learn and play in a safe and protective environment. We believe all children have different learning styles and that each child develops at his/her own pace. Especially when learning a new language, children need to feel secure and to be actively involved in the learning process, experiencing a variety of developmentally appropriate activities and materials. We recognize that young children learn through play, movement, music and hands-on activities, and our curriculum incorporates traditional children’s games, puppet theater and play acting, and songs, arts and crafts of Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Each semester concludes with a festive celebration at which the classes perform for friends and family and the school community.

The school year consists of 31 weeks of instruction running from September through May. Each class lasts 2 1/2 hours, from 9:30-noon, on Saturday mornings. Classes are held at Mercy High School, 3250 19th Ave, San Francisco, across from the Stonestown Galleria Mall

We look forward hearing from you!
