We are a German Saturday School of the East Bay, teaching German at all levels to interested individuals of all ages.
Classes are held from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm from September through May. The fall 2007 classes are scheduled to begin on September 15th, 2007. We are located on the grounds of the Excelsior German Center at the Altenheim (1699 Excelsior Blvd., Oakland) and are easily accessible from all areas of the East Bay. <Driving Directions>.
The German School of the East Bay is a nonprofit organization, serving the East Bay since 1962. We offer high quality classes with a low tuition.
Open to everyone who wants to learn the German language and learn about the German culture.

Toddlergroup
For the first time in fall 2007 we are able to offer a parent-child sing and play group for children age 18 months to 3 years (our current language program starts at age 4). Our teacher, Anja Glenzer, will hold one hour sessions during Saturday school days and introduce songs and games in German for our youngest students. Parent participation is required, each group can have four participants (plus the teachers own child). You may choose either session A (10am to 11am) or B (11.30am to 12.30pm). Per semester the fee for this class is $160 (sorry, we are unable to provide rebates or scholarships for this class). Interested? Contact us.
